Prepare to be found
Prepare to be found before even going to the show cover all your bases make sure all printed and promotional materials in addition to your website and landing pages are current and up-to-date. Use social media to your advantage, build hype about the event and post updates that include information about when where you’ll be so that will make it easy for prospects to find you.
Get their attention
Get their attention make sure your display gives a great first impression of your company list brief insignificant selling points to create higher levels of interest in learning more. Don’t try to list everything, just the key points. Make sure your brand is prominent and consistent throughout the entire booth space. You want to stand out among your competitors and a well-designed display will help you do just that.
Educate and inform
Educate and inform just as your branding should be uniform and have a cohesive look and feel. So too should your marketing and promotional collateral. Make sure everything has a cohesive look and feel. Now once prospects have gathered to your booth, make it easy for them to find those materials. Ideally you want to have that one-on-one conversation but you don’t always get that chance.
So at a minimum make sure that they’re able to find the information to learn more about your company when they leave. Utilize strong visual resources such as video. This is a very good tool to capture and hold their attention. This gives you a better chance of having that one-on-one conversation to learn about them.
Capture the data
Capture the data gathering information from anyone interested in your company is going to give you a clear advantage over the competition. It’s going to set you up for step 5 don’t rely on the potential customer to reach out to you. They’re busy and they’re short on time and they have other booths to visit so make sure you capture that information.
Follow through this is probably the most commonly overlooked aspect but it’s crucial. We’ve created a system that will allow you to easily get back in touch with those contacts that you’ve made through email and personalized mail collateral. This goes without saying but you’ve made an investment of time and expense in attending the show as well.
So it’s important that you maximize every opportunity to create an engagement with the prospect. Don’t overlook the follow-through.
